I. Introduction
 
 Hony® PCTFE Polychlorotrifluoroethylene (PCTFE) is a polymer compound obtained by polymerizing chlorotrifluoroethylene. Low molecular weight is liquid or waxy. High molecular weight is a white
solid or dispersion. The solid density is 2.1~2.2. The temperature of 208 ~ 210 ° C. Heat, acid,
alkali and organic solvents (except halides), but not resistant to molten caustic and elemental
fluorine. Soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons and carbon tetrachloride. Chemical resistance is second
only to PTFE. Can be used as engineering plastics. Tensile strength is 3.096~4.135 MPa (316~422
kg/cm2). Generally used in chemical equipment, insulated cables, radios, capacitors and
heat-resistant or low-temperature resistant parts with high performance requirements. Dispersions
are used to make corrosion resistant coatings and films.

II. Features
 
Advantage:
PCTFE is inert to most active chemicals at room temperature, and can be dissolved by a few
solvents above 212T, or by some solvents, especially chlorinated solvents. PCTFE has excellent gas
barrier properties, and its membrane product has the lowest water vapor permeability of all
transparent plastic films. Its electrical properties are similar to those of other perfluoropolymers,
but the dielectric constant (2.3-2. Knife and loss factor is slightly higher, especially at high

for greases and navigation gyros. PCTFE has excellent rigidity, low temperature resistance and cold
